Quickstart:

*Unpack the folder "FNVSGM" to your harddrive.
*run FNVSGM.exe
*select "Savegames" -> "Scan for Savegames/Characters"
*select the profile you want to play from the dropdown list
*click "lay" button to lunch Fallout New Vegas and play with the active profile
