... mm, okay. So, after a long-winded discussion (mainly with Insignia, by the way, thanks for that, and you owe me two Portal 2 achievements) with various members of the administration (most of it consisting of Insignia trying to convince me to return), I've decided to accept the (highly reasonable, thank you) terms given by the administration for a return to aIW, and as such am pretty much back on the team - with a few restrictions, but I don't really care (they made me say that!).
Most of the previous plans set by the development team (formerly known as the NDT) will still be followed (including the surprise for aIW's birthday, which will be awesome), however, with a few changes, most of which positive. The original (messy) rewritten (read: copypasted without cleaning up) client code (hey, I don't blame them, they at least tried) will be scrapped, and my own rewritten (read: copypasted and cleaned up) client/server code (yep, merged) I've been secretly working on for the past few days will be used for the upcoming release.
As I'm lazy (as you might know), Flux (what is that crap anyway? expecting people to use XML in native code) will still be used for this upcoming release, however in addition to OMG IT'S NEW and Flux, a few useful features (wow, usefulll featureeessss) will be implemented as well.
Anyway, glad to be back on board, and hope y'all didn't miss me too much.  For the record, my Black Ops project is put on hold for now (though it'll likely continue, I had it put on hold for a month or so already), but my new research will hopefully allow me to present some awesome features for IW4 in the future.

恩~~在管理层的成员们(主要是Insignia组?,另外谢谢你们,你们欠我两个传送门2的附件??)的长时间讨论之后(多数Insignia成员坚持劝说我回归),我已经接受管理层的讨论结果,回归aIW。虽然带有一点点的约束性条件,但我并不在意。
开发小组(以前称为NDT)之前的多数未来计划仍然会陆续上线(包括了aIW一周年生日的这个非常绝妙的惊喜)。然而,个别计划会有所改变。最初重写的客户端源码(读、复制、粘贴,但没有整理)(我也不责怪他们,他们至少已经在尽力做了)将会废弃,我有一套自己新重写、整理的客户端、服务端源码。我已经在前几天秘密的工作完成,将会用在之后将要发布的更新中。
你们可能知道,因为我很懒,Flux(他是不是很垃圾啊?让人们用XML参与源码编写)将会加入到之后的更新中。然而,要说明的一点就是,新发布的Flux会有一点“有用”的功能。
无论如何,很高兴能够回归论坛,希望大家不要太想我。^_^,我的Black Ops项目现在已经暂停了很长时间(虽然有可能再继续,但我已经还是暂停了快一个多月了),但我新近的研究将会有希望在将来的IW4??中加入一些牛逼的改进。
另外,原文章最后还有一个图表,服务器防火墙的连接数图表。

It looks like the server changes worked out pretty well:
Where we started our new version at 0:00.
We removed the automated server restarts, there should be a lot less "steam auth failed" for non-cheaters now.

我们关掉了自动匹配服务器的自动重启程序,这样应该会使那些没有作弊的玩家少一点出现"steam auth failed"错误。 |
