[MOD] 百度网盘分流任务类MOD:Strangers Abroad Chapters 1- 2

这是N网最近一挺火的任务类MOD,下载量已经达到两千多。作者连续一星期进行更新修订,今天上传了稳定版。
故事发生地在自由之城,就是猫王帮和NCR打群架的地方,以前不能进入的建筑,开了一扇门。
看作者介绍,完成这栋建筑里的任务后,还要在自由之城到处跑,完成新的任务。再之后,就要离开自由之城,到高尔夫营地附近的湖里继续任务了。

我现在的问题是,见到“天”以后,两扇主要的门,一个是机修店,一个是办公室,都打不开,需要钥匙。似乎听磁盘录音是开锁的路数,但在哪里听呢?

The Strangers Abroad User Guide

Hey there! If you're reading this, you're probably having trouble with the mod, from a gameplay perspective, at least. Well, I'm here to help, dishing out advice on some of the less obvious or unusual moments of Chpaters 1 and 2. I've divided them up into Chapters, then Missions, for easy reference. Without further ado, scroll down and enjoy.

+++ General Stuff +++

Q1: Sky won't let me craft anything.
A1: Make sure you've asked him about his skills. Once you've done that, his Campfire crafting abilities become available.

Q2: Sky won't give me any more new items to build.
A2: Either this is because you've exhausted his list of things so far, or you haven't gone far enough to unlock new recipes. Check after each mission to see if there's anything new to try out.

+++ Chapter 1 +++

=== Strangers Abroad ===

Q1: I can see the quest marker pointing at a secret door, but I can't get down there! What do I do?
A1: First of all, you need to restore the power. Grab the maintenance log from one of the terminals in the basement, then grab some Flamer Fuel (or Absinthe from upstairs if your Survival skill is high enough), put it in the valve, then pump it into the Ignition Chambers. Run the process through the rest of the buttons and you'll have the lights on in no time.
After that, you need a key - there's a Blank Keycard in the safe in Reuben Retail's lobby, but you can grab one of the three holotapes lying around, wipe the data off and burn a new ID if you aren't much of a Lockpicker. Now all you have to do is walk up and the way forward will open up to you.

Q2: Where the F&)K is that f^ing 'Spotter'?
A2: Yeah, this was a pain in the ass for a lot of people. Turn left as you walk out of the building, follow the road back into Freeside and wait for Sky to comment on the building nearby. Head through the blue door that provides a shortcut to the Silver Rush/Atomic Wrangler and head upstairs. Inspect the note in front of the chair up there and the 'spotter' will make themselves known.

=== Leaving New Vegas ===

Q1: Am I supposed to get the recipes for Vince? I can't kill all those Deathclaws!
A1: Relax - Vince just needs a sample of the signature dishes of any one of the cooks in his note. Ruby Nash is the easiest, only needing 1 Poison Gland to make her Radscorpion Casserole.
Jas Wilkins may be better for more experienced players who hadn't gotten around to clearing out Quarry Junction yet, but her Wasteland Omelets can randomly be found as regular loot. Keep your eyes open.
Cook-Cook's Fiend Stew is more for real Survival players who want to cook something up. Grabbing his recipe during Three Card Bounty should be easy enough, as most of the ingredients are at his hideout. When you have a sample of any of these recipes, go back and give it to Vince to complete his portion (ba-dum tish) of the quest.

Q2: I got Jade's Stash, but the quest marker's still pointing to where it was.
A2: A mistake on my part. Travel or wait and it should point back at Jade.

=== The Viper's Nest ===

Q1: How long does it take Sky to start the new quest?
A1: Give him about 24 hours. Strangers Abroad was designed to be played around, as part of the overall campaign, not as a linear chain of missions. Go have fun elsewhere and Sky'll send you a note when he's ready.

Q2: I'm inside the Viper's Nest, but I can't unlock the door to the Admin Offices.
A2: If your Lockpicking skills aren't up to scratch, look around for the controls to the crane in the shipping warehouse. Raise that wayward crate and search underneath for the key. It opens up quite a few things.

Q3: Now I'm inside the Admin Offices, but I can't get into the Mainframe.
A3: As you may have noticed, there's a blocked-off office to the right of the Mainframe. The office next to it has a weakened wall which you can chop through with a Fire Axe. Don't have one? You may get lucky with a Fire Hose Box, or you'll have to wrestle it from Geri, the Ghoul in the Living Quarters. He won't go quietly, though.

Q4: I'm in the Forge and I can't find the keycard Sky's asking for.
A4: The unique Viper, Grinder has it. Search his body - Bloody Mess and Meltdown may make this tricky.

Q5: Where are these Demolition Charges?
A5: Inside the Armory - there's a case on the left with them inside.

Q6: What the f*"k is up with all these Vipers?! LEAVE ME ALONE.
A6: Suck it up, you sissy.

Q7: What do I do with these Commissary Vouchers I'm finding?
A7: There's a terminal in the Living Quartes which can redeem them for chems and other items, but it has to be unlockd first. With Level ? Clearance or better, you can unlock it for use.

Q8: I'm alive! I'm in the tunnel again, but there's no way out.
A8: You need to wait in real-time for the bombs to explode, waiting won't do anything. When they do, Sky will talk to you and the door will re-appear.

+++ Chapter 2 +++

=== Blood On The Canvas ===

Q1: I talked to Mikey and he attacked me! WTF?
A1: Mikey's got a short fuse. Keep harassing him and he's gonna snap.

Q2: Okay, ow, those lasers hurt like a bitch! What do I do?
A2: You've got three options. Sneak through without setting them off (Light Step makes this a breeze), tank 'em with a bundle of Stimpaks or shoot out the generator above them to shut the lasers off. If you do the last two, you'll need sufficient Repair skill to reboot the system, or the codes from a locked terminal in the Basement.

Q3: How do I get Buckwheat's Scattergun?
A3: Well, the simplest way is killing him, but that's not a great idea. Talk to him about it and he'll share the recipe to build one for free.

=== The Long, Cold Dark ===

Q1: Where is this Dead Drop at Seachlight Airport?
A1: Go into the tower directly ahead of you as you enter through the tunnel. In the area full of luggage, it's the suitcase in the far right hand corner on the floor.

Q2: How do I get the elevator working?
A2: On the roof are the three parts of the winch. Activate the generator to get the lights on, then either Repair or use a Fuse from the skeleton in the water to get the Torque Regulator running. Then, just switch the whole thing on with the last button and recall the elevator from the terminal below.

Q3: How do I turn the forcefield off?
A3: The security station desk as the button underneath it. Turn it off and you're good to go.

Q4: Oh God, I'm being ripped apart down here! What do I do?!
A4: The enemies can't use doors - use this to your advantage. Many enemies can be lured into rooms and trapped if you're low on ammo or health.

Q5: How do I open the Breeding Pen door?
A5: The terminal with the 'Reboot' command has the full list, but in short, you need to:
1. Install a Fuse in the Power Regulator.
2. Throw the Circuit Breaker Switch in the office with the big sparking switch in it.
3. Balance the Water Purifier's output at 50% (it locks down once you do it).
4. Unblock the drainage pipe opposite the office.
5. Return to the terminal and reboot the system.

Q6: I've got all the Dead Drops, but I need more evidence. What do I do?
A6: You need to gather any of the following:
A. All of the Subject Logs in the Open Labs (4 in total).
B. All of Dr. Waxmann's recordings (4 in total).
C. The SE-01 Prototype (see Q7)

Q7: What are these Blueprints for?
A7: Gathering all 3 Blueprints reveals the location of a safe, and the code to open it. Inside, you'll find the SE-01 Prototype, the experimental weapon that Waxmann was building. It's invaluable against the many robots in the facility, recharges fairly quickly and also has some random effects against living creatures, too.
