Oh look, another person who can't leave me alone...
(it seems like that with everyone of you)
The reason I'm not working on the crack is because I'm too busy playing BO2 and developing my zombie game.
The way I created the so called "Crack"...
I used OllyDBG and Cheat Engine
Since I'm a Game Dev
I know how code works...etc
To "bypass" the steam popup error...
I searched through the error codes.
Found "popup_connectingdw" below "PLATFORM_STEAM_OFFLINE"
Doesn't take a rocket scientist to put the 2 together...
"popup_connectingdw" is then name of the popup menu.
it calls the popup open function (00697CC0)
Changed "popup_connectingdw" to a menu name such as "MainLobby"
which makes it popup the Main Lobby Menu instead of the error popup
for an actual menu change, you have to change "open_popup" to "open_menu"
and "popupName" to "menuName".
that's how I got to access all the menus in v0.2 crack video.
The "launcher" I was using was keeping track of the current selected menu variable.
if the integer changed, my launcher would change the value of "popup_connectingdw" to the right menu name...
and the rest of the stuff goes complicated, such as starting the match...
I had to set all the settings manually, like, force host, solo mode, disable player check...
that's just to tip of the iceberg...
Then you have to enable cheats, stuff like dev mode and even have to disable the binding key function check...
that way you could bind commands to a key and not just default functions.
oh and make sure to force it into thinking that you're connected to server, else it kicks you out.
and make sure to do that AFTER you're in a lobby, else it tries to download game settings or some shit and it ends up crashing.
and don't access any menus where it HAS to load the player...
that crashes as well.
and before you rush into changing things in OllyDBG, over half of the variables are used for console and not pc...
Which is fucking annoying to deal with.
and it does check if values have been changed, so fuckton of variables and functions won't activate / can't be changed.
Have fun.
Also change the username before calling the initialization function for the match.
oh and for those who wanna enable the console, its not worth the trouble, it doesn't even work.
I haven't tried unlocking the ingame console, from what I've heard, it doesn't work as well...
so, both external and ingame consoles seem to be useless.
There is staff check, to check if your steam id matches maybe a staff list or something.
Maybe you have to trick that and the console might work, too much shit to dig trough tho, so good luck finding it.
and for those "fucktardswhocan'tstopaskingformysourcecode guys"...for the source of the launcher / crack, the crack is explained here --- ^
the launcher is simple, like I've said before, you can do the same thing with cheat engine.
Its the same thing as many trainers.
Its a simple memory editor, which in this case sets all the offsets / addresses I tell it to.
