505 Games工作室近日正式宣布，《收获日2》发行的版本将不限于数字版。这款游戏将在全球发行PS3和Xbox 360零售版。除了主机平台之外，《收获日2》还会在Steam平台上发行PC版。发行时间是2013年八月。
游戏总监David Goldfarb在一份声明中说：“很高兴在《收获日2》的创作过程中迸发了太多的天才想法，游戏容量太大，所以仅仅在Xbox Live和PSN平台上发布数字版是不够的。”
但是《收获日2》的PC版仍然只发售数字版，可于Steam平台下载。
《收获日2》新增很多2011年初始版《收获日》所没有的特征，包括特殊技能和自我升级系统。此外，抢劫者有四种不同的专业领域，每个都有自己独特的能力......
