• The steel versions of the weapons are replacers for the vanilla Skyforge Steel weapons available from Eorlund Graymane when one first joins the Companions.
• Later, weapons of the same general forms but utilizing a variety of materials (steel included) can be crafted by the player at the Skyforge, but only once full Skyforge crafting privileges have been granted. (This occurs upon completion of the Companion quest “Glory of the Dead”, when the player subsequently speaks with Eorlund).
• Once obtained, all weapons can be upgraded at any grindstone.
• All five types of weapons can be made from the following materials: Steel, Orichalcum, Dwemer metal, Moonstone, and Ebony.
• This mod is intended to cover only those Skyforge weapons offered to the Companions by Eorlund, a swordsmith, in the original incarnation of the game. These are bladed weapons only. As such, there are currently no plans to expand the inventory to include maces, hammers, bows, nails, horseshoes, pointed sticks, or other crude and/or generally smithing-non-intensive items.

• Additionally, all shields (except[/] the Wolf Heavy Shield, which can only be purchased from Eorlund) can be crafted by the player at the Skyforge, but only once full Skyforge crafting privileges have been granted by completion of the Companion quest “Glory of the Dead” (and the player has subsequently spoken with Eorlund).

• The unique nature of the Skyforge imbues the shields with roughly the resilience of one grade higher material than that from which they were made (or its equivalent). Steel heavy shields are as strong as typical Dwarven heavy shields. Steel light shields are as strong as Elven. Moonstone light shields are as strong as Elven Gilded. Dwemer metal heavy shields are as strong as Orcish. Orichalcum heavy and light shields are as strong as Ebony and Glass, respectively.

• The armor can be made at any forge.
• While it requires both Dragon and Ebony smithing perks to make, the armor itself is found under the Dragon smithing category.
• Two styles each of chestpieces, gauntlets, and boots are included. Their construction materials and stats are identical. The choice is offered purely for aesthetic reasons.
• Four distinct styles of helm are available, in either veiled or open-faced versions (for a grand total of eight). Here too materials and stats are identical, and which one wears is a matter of individual taste.
• A chainmail hood can also be forged. As it is not rigid and does not actually utilize dragonbone, it is markedly less protective than the full helms. However, it does allow one to simultaneously equip circlets of any type.
• A heavy shield (replete with modified geometry) is included as part of the full set.
• All pieces are upgradeable with additional ebony ingots.
• All pieces are fully race, gender, and body-slider compliant.
