Dear Customer,
Thank you for contacting Bandai Namco Entertainment America's customer support department. We apologize for our delay in response.
We have received reports from customers regarding a Dark Souls III system message being sent to end users stating that their accounts/profiles or saved data has been detected of having "Invalid Game Data".
Removal of the offending game data will not remove the "Invalid Game Data" in-game message as the game will continue to display this message until the Dark Souls III server team has had enough time to research the player data to determine if any hacks/cheats/mods were used.
After the team has either verified that the account is in violation of the End User Online Agreement or determined it to be a false-positive report regarding the player's profile/account, either the message will stop being displayed or the player's account will have restrictions placed on it (due to violation of the End User Online Agreement for using external tools hacks/cheats with the game).
Just for reference at this time there is no list of "approved" external files/mods for use with Dark Souls III and as such we recommend against the use of ANY external files or mods with Dark Souls III (regardless of their use or intention) as they may potentially lead to restrictions being placed on your profile/account to limit your online interactions with other players.
This service has no ability to remove or place restrictions but we can confirm your restrictions if you provide us with your Steam ID URL (for PC) or GamerTag (for consoles). If there are restrictions placed on your account they will not be removed at any time.
We recommend checking our company social sites (from our links below) as any new information will usually be posted there once it becomes available.
Thanks,
Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. Customer Support
