B社副总Pete Hines在8月9日回复粉丝提问时确认上古卷轴6制作尚未开始，在10月23日再次确认没有制作。Pete Hines再次明确强调他并不是公关式的敷衍搪塞，而是现在真的还没有计划开发上古卷轴6。（Pete Hines has again made it clear that what he is saying is not just in PR terms , but there are actually no plans currently to develop The Elder Scrolls 6.）

Bethesda has had to tell the fans multiple times that they are not working on The Elder Scrolls 6 and that fans should not expect a new game to come out anytime soon. The game will definitely release sometime in the near future however currently Bethesda has its hands full with other projects.

However that has not stopped fans from speculating , particularly one certain fan who remains adamant that this is all a marketing gimmick and Bethesda have actually got a ace up their sleeve.  Have a look at the conversation below.

Pete Hines has again made it clear that what he is saying is not just in PR terms , but there are actually no plans currently to develop The Elder Scrolls 6. He has even made it clear that the game is not even in a “Pre-Alpha” stages of development and it will be some time before the game is even released. However the Skyrim remaster is still there to satisfy the appetites of those gamers who just cannot get enough of the long running saga.
It seems as if we will all have to patiently wait for The Elder Scrolls 6 to come out, but in my opinion the wait will well be worth it . Let us know how you feel about the delay, and whether the wait will be worth it by commenting in the comments section below.
