Resident Evil 7 – New patch adds support for older generation CPUs

Capcom has released the second patch for the PC version of Resident Evil 7. This patch adds support for older generation CPUs as the game does not longer require the SSSE3 SIMD instruction set in order to run.

We are pretty sure that a lot of gamers will appreciate it as we’ve received messages from users that were unable to run the game due to this limitation.

This patch will be auto-download from Steam next time you start the client.

And here is the changelog for this second update for Resident Evil 7 PC:

Added support for older generation CPUs. More specifically, the game no longer requires SSSE3 SIMD instruction set.



这说的是就是已经支持老的CPU的指令集，这样子像AMD965这样的老CPU也能玩了，我的正版已经更新了100多M的补丁了
