TLDR: Unfair, stressful, and overall unpleasant experience.
The game is unrelentingly hard. Like unfairly so. I enjoy hard games, they are that I seek. But where this game lost me is that you start with no real way to heal, magic in the game at least at the beginning is a joke. You have to search out spell words but the only spells you can find is a map spell which is just an expanded map of what you have already explored, (Basically the tab function in every rpg ever) and some other spell that does minimal damage. So trying to play magic at all in the game at the beginning is pointless.
The enemies you encounter will kill you within 5 battles, which isnt even enough experience to level up once. You cant rest because when you do you either starve to death, or get killed by a monster that you cant kill because you are too wounded to fight it (Because you are resting)
The FINAL thing though that got me was when I went into the forums and the first official help thread gives you a bunch of spells that you can cast in-game. Spells you wont find yourself at the beginning of the game. (If the devs want to give you that option then the caster classes should get some of those base spells to start. But they dont)
So basically the only way to play the game is to cheat, thats what the devs are saying with that thread. . There is something inherrently wrong with that. . Dont waste your time with this game, or do and get a refund within the time frame like I did. Shrug. |
