A service to our potato brethren!
This mod removes nearly all assets on the stages except floors. The purpose of this mod is to make the game playable on low end (completely potato) PCs.
If you want a slightly tweaked version of only the problematic ones (like forest), head over here.
I've created multiple options for people to choose from, ones with the sky still intact, no assets on character select screen, etc.
For individual stages as well as the whole directory of downloads, head over here.
Some assets I couldn't find outside of where the usual files are, seems like whatever is left are placeholders and are located elsewhere. Already took so much time as it is stripping all of the stuff so I'm leaving it, for now at least.
How to Install
Method 1:
Get Unverum Mod Manager here,
Instructions are all in there
Method 2:
Right click game on Steam > Properties > Local Files > Browse
Then go to the folders,
RED > Content > Paks
Create a folder and name it "~mods" and extract the .zip contents in there, both .pak and .sig files.
Read more below how I set up each .pak file depending on how you want it. You can use either wSky or noSky with or without noCharaUI.
.PAK MODS
potatoMod-GGST-noCharaUI.zip - no eagle during character select and no portraits on vs loading screen
potatoMod-GGST-wSky.zip - All potato stages, with sky
potatoMod-GGST-noSky.zip - All potato stages, no sky
potatoMod-GGST-forestLite.zip - Forest only. Lessens load slightly for forest. This is a bit old, but may differ in performance compared to the new Lite version here

Go to this directory for individual stages
potatoMod-GGST-noLobby.zip - This is still on the experimental side, I need to do more tests ( I can't deal with communicating with server anymore lol). I only tested the avatar room (where you dress up), park, floor 9 and floor 10. I need to know if some of the edits I did changed stuff on floors 8 and below, so please if you use it and see what they look like, let me know!

Best Configuration with Potato Mod
There are only three things you need to worry about when using the potato mod; and that's to avoid the godrays (since assets are removed, certain lightings go through), bloom, and blurry pixels (when going lower Scaling Resolution).
In the in-game's settings,
• to remove godrays, put Post-Process to Low
• to remove bloom, put Effect Quality to Best
• to remove blurry pixels, grab the Scalability.ini inside any of the .zip configs below
In case you want the config files already set up, use the GameUserSettings.ini inside .zips. The game is finicky with it though. Long story short - if you tweak/use the config file, it'll override whatever you have in the game except for Resolution and Window Mode. Once you change the settings in-game, then it overrides the config file. - (Changing the settings inside GameUserSettinings.ini doesn't work anymore. Change them in-game instead.)
Regardless, just make sure the Post-Process and Effect Quality are changed as mentioned above. Change your render resolution and everything else in-game. And make sure to use the Scalibility.ini I have on the .zip.

CONFIG FILES
potatoConfig-GGST-wBadrigs.zip - For bad specs. Puts everything to 0, Resolution Scaling to 25. Removes pixel blurriness.
potatoConfig-GGST-wGoodrigs.zip - For decent specs. Everything on mid settings, Resolution Scaling to 100. Removes pixel blurriness too, but you won't notice it anyway.
