Guide to get it working with the bypass:
1. Download bullwinkle's clean Steam files from page 2 of this forum.
2. Download the steam_api64.dll from this distribution of Goldberg emu:
https://github.com/Detanup01/gbe_fork/releases
Note: Regular Goldberg will NOT work. Also, for me, Detanup01's steam_api64.dll triggered Windows Defender, but running it through VirusTotal says it's clean. So be aware of that!
3. Replace the steam_api64.dll in:
Code: Select all | Line number On/Off | Expand/Contract
\GoWEDay\Engine\Binaries\ThirdParty\Steamworks
with the one from Detanup01's fork. You might want to make a backup of that in case a better bypass comes out.
4. Set the following environment variable:
A) WinKey+R (Run) -> type sysdm.cpl
B) Go to the Advanced tab and click Environment Variables.
C) Under User Variables, click New and enter:
Code: Select all | Line number On/Off | Expand/Contract
Name: EOS_USE_ANTICHEATCLIENTNULL
Value: 1
5. Use the attached .bat file. You can examine it yourself to make sure it's safe. It's from this thread on the Cheat Engine forum:

You first need to press 1 to enable the bypass. Once the text turns green, meaning the bypass is enabled, press 2 to start the game via the .bat file.
Note: I'm actually not totally sure if step 4 is needed, or if step 5 is enough on its own. Combining both works for me when launching via the .bat file.[spoiler=]
Edit: nevermind, this only gets the game running - it doesn't allow you to play single player. Sorry. |
