I have used the Steam features like defrag and cache verify, including several reinstalls, but with no success.

I am running Windows XP 64bit, and I might believe this is related to the problem. I have listed hardware specs in the bottom off this post, and I can provide dxdiag, error reports or whatever might help.

So I am asking if anyone here is familiar to this issue or may know what to do in order to make the game launch?
