It pissed off some people at runic that the same sites that posted that purposely left off the disclaimer that basically said "THIS IS NOT A RELEASE DATE!"

But yes, the current estimate is September or October, and they won't announce the final date until all the details are finalized with their distributors, not to mention until they finish making the game. Legally, they usually can't make big announcements until a specific date for a press release is reached, which is why you won't get anything yet.
