Storyline
It is the distant future. Dahlia Bruneau is a top member of a mercenary organization known as Winding Truths. The ship in which they travel exchanges formalities with a passing spacecraft and learns of a planet ahead being invaded by an Ikan "Clearance" army. The Ikan, an alien race infamous for its business of killing off native life on habitable planets and selling them, have been foes to Winding Truths in times past. Naturally, Dahlia has a grudge with them. She researches the planet and learns of its inhabitants, a tribal culture of intelligent, peaceful mammalians dubbed Lapratanians. When she learns this she is determined to intervene. Violating Winding Truths' regulations, and with the help of a friend, she jumps ship...
