First of all, could you please try reinstalling the latest version of Windows Media Player?

Also, if you have installed other freeware such as codecs for cutscenes, try reinstalling or uninstalling them if possible.
Besides, if you use AMD graphics card, and the Fluid Motion in Radeon Setting is ON, please try setting it OFF.
If the issue persists, please consider requesting a refund from Valve. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
However, please note that Steam's refund policy is that a request is made within fourteen days of purchase, and that the title has been played for less than two hours.
