By default, the game does not show tooltips for world placed containers, hidden caches (well, duh! they are supposed to be hidden), and even some items.
I am a hoarder, i need to loot everything and take every item (even if it sells for measly 1 gold), and it helps if i can easily see them all.
This helps... but it also adds a lot of UI clutter in areas with many items/containers/interactables.
It also spoils surprises by revealing things that are supposed to be hidden (mostly just those caches and such), so you have been warned.
How it works
It is just object's RootTemplates, with a modified/added "Tooltip" attribute value set to "2".
Doing so, makes the objects show a tooltip when you press Alt (default key).
What You should know...
I suspect that i modified WAY more templates than needed, including objects that cannot be actually interacted with in any meaningful way.
I tried to limit the number of altered templates by modifying only "item" object types having a "DisplayName" or "VisualTemplate", but that is still 8259 templates, which is surely way more than needed.
So, if somebody has a good idea how to limit the number even more (without missing anything we want to include), i am all ears.
Feel free to use the optional python script to experiment with creating your own set of modified root templates.
I will not go into details how to do it, as you should be able to easily find out yourself (and if not, then i don't think you should be messing with it).
