Beyond new-game enhancements and support timelines, the 580.88 driver fixes numerous issues. In gaming scenarios, it removes ray-tracing artifacts seen in World of Warcraft and fixes random square glints around in-game lights in Battlefield 2042. Performance degradation in Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered after updating to the R575 series has been corrected, and objects rendering errors in StarCraft Remastered are resolved. Control no longer crashes when ray tracing is active, and startup crashes in Dirt 5 have been addressed. General fixes include resolving black dots on reference images in Blender and restoring the GPU scaling option in the NVIDIA Control Panel when Display Stream Compression monitors are used. Additionally, NVIDIA Smooth Motion’s video-memory speed adjustment bug has been corrected.
